Although initially thought of as Generation X, Mary Cahill accompanied Generation Y down the aisle by receiving her BFA in photography from Rhode Island School of Design in 2000.
Since 2004, she has worked as a photo editor at Martha Stewart Omnimedia. Her experience includes working on virtually every title within the Omnimedia family (Kids, Blueprint, Weddings, Whole Living, Everyday Food & Books). Recently, Mary has been reassigned to focus her energy full time on Martha Stewart Living (circulation 2 million) in both it's print as well as iPad incarnation.
Avi Gupta is a graduate of the Corcoran College of Art + Design where he developed a background in Photojournalism and Fine Art. He is an exhibiting artist and Photo Editor for U.S. News & World Report.
David Hicks is the photo editor for Washingtonian Magazine. At Washingtonian he works in concert with the design director to create, build, and execute the visual content of the magazine. He also art directs and assigns photographers for covers and features.
A native Washingtonian, David grew up mostly in Middleburg, VA, and now lives in Bethesda, MD. He received his BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. His photo editing career began at stock agency Uniphoto/Pictor in 1994. He joined the Clinton administration as a White House photo editor in 1996 where he traveled often with the President to edit and disperse press photos and archive images for the president's library.
More recently, he was a photo editor at Washingtonpost.com and deputy photo editor at USA Weekend.
Dee Swann is the Multimedia Editor for The Washington Post. She oversees a group of online photo/multimedia editors who create photo galleries and audio slideshows for the website. She also does project work with different teams across the Post's newsroom to best present photography online.
Dee's start at The Washington Post's website began with an internship in 1997. She has also been a photo editor and deputy managing editor of multimedia at the Post. Dee grew up and still resides in Northern Virginia and received her BA in Studio Art from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
